Passenger Brake Light Out, But It's Not The Bulb
My passenger brake light is out on my 240 wagon (as well as the liftgate light, separate thing though as far as I know) but the taillight works. I know it isn't the bulb. If it were a fuse then both brake lights wouldn't function, and if it were the switch, then both brake lights also wouldn't function, correct? Could I have a bad bulb socket? Help me out here!

time to break out a volt meter, and check to see if power is getting to the brake light circuit on the right side.
all 3 brake lights are wired separately all the way from the dashboard, as the circuits go through the 'bulb out' detector. possible failure modes could be...
1) broken wire anywhere from dash to tail. the 3rd light, it could be the flexing wires at the trunk hinge
2) bad connection at the harness socket onto the tail light assembly
3) bad connection from the bulb socket onto the flex-circuit on the tail light assembly.
