no MAF sensor is new, and we dont know how long MAF can be used at junkyard, so can we extend the 940 life by converting MAF to MAP?

 

If I understand the fuel injection systems correctly the MAP sensor is used in the Rex Regina fuel injection system while the MAF (or AMM) is used in the Bosch LH Jetronic fuel injection system. Given this, the only way to convert to a MAP sensor is to swap the entire fuel injection system which is probably not worth it.

Really the MAF should last a good long time as long as you keep the air pre-heating system up to snuff (or disabled altogether). Usually what ruins the MAF is that the thermostat in the air filter box goes bad and lets hot air from the exhaust manifold even when temps outside are high which ends up frying the MAF. Many people remove the pe-heater hose entirely to avoid this problem.

 

im attempting to track down the most ideal way to get the 940 super planned after the mods . the mods will be t35 super, 470 injecters, 3in exhaust, and custom intercooler. I ether need an independent or alternate approaches to getting it tuned . I want to get the vehicle moving roaded or possibly a decent tune so the vehicle dont explode. vehicle anyone give me some data , costs and contact quantities of somebody in the uk .kindly assistance me im abit lost on this.
