Power door help
Randomly one day, my power door locks decided to die. It was really weird, I was driving and making a turn and I heard a loud clicking what I thought was coming from my heater. After figuring out what it was, I realized it was the power door lock and unlock relays. I will be driving and my doors will randomly lock and unlock themselves. This will happen even if i'm not in the car. It got to the point, where after school, I came back to a dead car. The doors had locked and unlocked themselves so much for those hours it drained the battery.I unplugged the power doors and have had them like that for the past 2 months or so. I tried changing the relays, but didn't do anything. Now, what i've noticed is that when you slam the driver's door, the relays will click (either lock or unlock the door). If you apply pressure to the drivers door either where the lock is or where the plug is, the relays will click. Under what I believe is called the actuator, there is a plug leading from the drivers door lock to all the other locks, if you play with that thing, the relays will click. Maybe its a bad plug? This problem started happening about a week after I tinted the windows (A small amount of water would have gotten inside the door.) However, I didn't even tint the drivers window, but the problem seems like its coming from there.
