Hi there, I’m working on some friends 93 940, it’s got a power driver seat with memory, non of the functions (forward and backwards, up and down, and backrest up and down) work, I’ve checked the fuses and they are good, and I have verified the plug in to the seat is getting power and all the way till it plugs into the module under the seat, I’ve pulled both the switch and the module apart and don’t see any signs of a short circuit, I’m not the best with electronics, and was curious if anyone had any insight on how I could test to narrow the problem down further?

 

It's likely the large square module under the seat, is that what you are referring to as appearing to be OK? I'd change it see what happens.

 

when you say the large square module under the seat, are you referring to the black one that hangs under the seat, or the really big green one that is bolted to the floor? also do you know a way to test that module?

 

The one I refer to is usually green and it is attached to the underside of the seat, it wouldn't be attached to the floor. The one on the floor is probably the SRS module.
