Default power steering issues on 1992 240

i have a 1992 Volvo 240 Wagon 5-Speed that recently had some power steering pump noise, so i rebuilt the pump, but i didn't do something right, and that pump doesn't work anymore, so i bought a new pump, but the new pump did not last long before i lost power steering. my friend has a 1992 240 parts car that i took the pump off of and this pump makes a lot of noise.

i bled the power steering system by turning the steering wheel lock to lock for the new pump 40 times.

is there something i am doing wrong?

i am considering getting the pump rebuilt that is currently in the car.

does anyone know a shop that rebuilds power steering pumps in the Western North Carolina area?

i have also been considering deleting the power steering on my 1992 240, is this something that is possible?

My 78 242 did not have power steering - but the rack had a different ratio, (more turns lock to lock)
