Default Power window regulator

1990 Volvo 240DL Wagon 222k miles

Looking to replace right rear door power window regulator. I think the OEM p/n is 1315022. Is there a source for new aftermarket or is my only source used?

the aftermarket regulators for various cars that I've seen have mostly been unmitigated chineseum junk. my son put one in a 1990 Mercedes we'd loaned him, it broke within a year.

Pierce, thanks for the input. I have not been able to source an aftermarket on the internet. Can get used fairly cheap, so I guess that's the route I will go.

if you can get a good used one, that's definitely the way to go.

I need to replace the motor only on this window and have a working motor from the same year/model front window. Connections are good to the existing rear motor but it seems not to work when the window is in a certain position (tap on the motor will get it work - dead spot on the motor?). I think the motor is same for front and rear. I am good at stripping interior handles/panels off but was wondering what kind of mess I could run into for trying to take the existing rear regulator out, swapping motors, and re-assembling. How difficult is this project?

Not difficult at all. But not sure about the "dead spot" on the motor. Get in there and clean, lube and tighten everything, you may not need a motor.
