Default Quick Question

So, my 89 240 gl wont start and after my cousin looked at it, and i thought it was this, he said that the fuel wasnt getting to the engine. So, my friend said he would fix it for me if the fuel pump was attached to the engine. So my questions is where the location of the pump is? If its in the gas tank or attached to the engine?

It has two pumps ... one in the tank, the other in front of the driver's rear tire, under the car.

If you jumper the left sides of fuses 4 and 6, both pumps should run constantly and you can listen for them.
