Default quick question

I was told by the Volvo tech my control panel for the HVAC controls needs to be replaced to fix my problem, is this something I, a non-mechanic, could do, or is it best left to the professionals? Thanks.

Default RE: quick question

Is it a automatic A/C or a manual A/C control panel?
They are both easy to replace and you will be able to do it in about 10 minutes.

But what is wrong with the A/C?

Default RE: quick question

it is the auto dual zone type. I have this problem where the blower is constantly blowing and none of the controls on the panel do anything. The Volvo tech replaced the blower resistor, I forget the exact part, behind the glove box, but said that didn't help. He also said earlier that week someone had the same problem and they had to replace the control panel and it alone was $900. Thanks.

I would also say the control head is bad and need to be replaced.
