I ran out of gas, and when i put some more in it it took some time to get it started, when i finally got it started it would not go over 2000 rpms. What's wrong? I had recently some fuel injector cleaner in the tank too.

 

I'm thinking fuel filter. When the tank runs dry, it allows the bottom crud to get to the filter. Then re-filling serves to stuff those loose particles into the filter intake. To check, force gas from an easy place under the hood back into the gas take. You can actually just blow air back through the line too. If it "clears" the problem, than you need to clear (replace) the filter.</P>
