Default Rear Cam seal plug

Looks like mine blew out this morning. Was wondering if anyone knew if it's under the rear retainer to the camshaft and if so what's the torque spec for that retainer ??

Need to do this during my lunch break in about 4 hours so if anyone knows I'd really appreciate it !!!

Oh... 87 240.

Man that sux! Sorry to not get back; guess by now you know it isn't under the cam retainer. I had one blow out at 70 mph, years ago. My windshield reminded me of an old WWI movie where the biplane gets an oil cooler line shot and is blinded by it! IPD sells a simple stamped steel brace that bolts into existing holes in the block to preclude this from happening. Of course, it won't happen w/o super high crankcase pressure so ya got some 'splainin' tp do!!

Yeah it was good I was going slow. Actually an easy fix that I bet had never been done. I replaced the flame trap a while back so I'm not sure if it was just worn out or what...it's bound to be on the side of the highway somewhere.

And yeah I ordered the IPD part yesterday...the good news? I work about 8 miles from them and can go there during lunch !
