Rear end swap question

Rear end swap question
I had a nice '89 240 Wagon till last month when my son totaled it in an accident. I found a reasonably good '91 240 Sedan that was dirt cheap and am using the '89 as a parts source to get the 91 back up and running.
Once concern I had about the '91 is that the rear differential had a leak so I am worried that it may be worn. The '89 was in good shape and I know the history behind it so I was considering swapping the whole rear end from the 89 into the 91.
The question is, is there any difference in rear-end ratios that I need to be concerned about (like incorrect speedometer readings)?
Also, is this a big job? At first glance, it seems to be fairly straightforward to swap.
Any advice would be helpful.
