Default Rear Seat Removal 240

Does anyone here know how to remove the rear seat on a 240 sedan. I have read that there is release clips about 6" on the leading edge that you need to push in, then down. I can't find these at all.

Can anyone help?

Working from memory they are not a 'release catch' that you can get hold of and open. There is a metal loop fitted to the frame of the seat and this fits over a bracket attached to the floor.

About 6 inches in press down very hard on the front edge of the seat with one hand and push the bottom front edge of the seat towards the rear of the car. This should release one side, then do the other.

Replacing is a little easier. Put the seat into place and push thebottom front edgetowards the rear of the car. The loop should drop over the bracket.
