those same SLT hybrid chips used in the 360 were used to build the IBM 1130, which was a much smaller scale system... The one I learned programming on had 8K words (16 bits) of core, a 510,000 word hard disk, and the CPU ran with a 3.6 microsecond cycle time.

I still have a few SLT chips/substrates down in my basement. That along with a 200MM and 300MM wafer which were scrap and given to me when I retired. Fun career.
