My question, repeated here, is whether or not the "accumulator" (or pulse modulator/dampener) referred to here: https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/Fue...eplacement.htm is a necessary component of this delivery system since, as I describe elsewhere, it seems like a weak link and I seriously doubt capable of sealing at the pressure this system is rated at.
