Default Replacing fuel line

Sorry if this has been covered before, I searched first but I couldn't find much on the subject. Has anyone ever had to replace the entire fuel line on their 240? Mine is leaking at a connection in the engine bay and is pretty cracked underneath the car so I want to replace the entire line from the fuel filter to the engine. If it makes a difference, the old diesel engine was swapped out for a Ford 302 Windsor V8 by the previous owner. He didn't mention if he had replaced the original fuel lines at the same time, but they look very old to me.

What year? From what I've read on the brickboard, that section of line is a dealer-only item. You might look for one from a junkyard.

You can also look up the part number using this site:

It's a 1980 240DL, I believe. The car has been debadged, but that's what the previous owner said it was.

In a car like that I'd throw the book out the window, literally and figuratively, and improvise. Just get a decent quality fuel line hose and adapt it to whatever you got in there. A possibly ex diesel Volvo 240 now with a Windsor v8 does take some special TLC...

hahaha yeah, I figured I would have to improvise. I took a look under the car and it looks like it would be pretty simple to do, just unbolt from the filter and where it's leaking near the engine and bolt in some new line. What kind of line should I ask for, just high-pressure fuel line?

Awesome, thanks for the help everyone! I should be swapping the line out this weekend, I'll post the results when I'm done.

I just had a look under the car, and it turns out I don't need to replace the whole line. The line runs from the filter to the firewall, and then it attaches to some metal tubing, and from there it is 68mm fuel injector line from the metal tubing to the engine. In total, I'm only going to have to replace about 3 feet of line, if that.
