Default Replacing the Rear Main Engine and Transmission Pump Seals

Hi, everybody. My 1991 240 is leaking transmission fluid from where the transmission and engine meet. I think it’s my pump seal. I know I need to replace the rear main oil seal as it is leaking too. Since the transmission has to come out to do both, is there anything else in there I should consider doing while the transmission is out? The pictures I’ve seen of the pump seal are very similar to the front seals that I replaced a few months ago. Is its replacement procedure about the same?

I have a friend with a lift and a transmission jack. Does anyone have good instructions on removing the transmission so that I can access the rear main engine seal and the transmission pump seal? This would be a great help and allow me to do this job myself and not have to pay someone. Thanks everybody.

Kjet.org has the Volvo greenbooks in PDF. They have steps for transmission overhaul and removal/ install.

It's pretty straight forward, just requires some time.
