Replacing thermostat in 91 240 gl

Default Replacing thermostat in 91 240 gl

Hello everyone, I know that this is such a noob question. But im just wondering how to replace my thermostat in my 91 240. I know this is an easy fix but I can't to seem to find any videos. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks (:.

Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the thermostat housing.

Remove the two 10mm nuts that secure the housing to the cylinder head. Remove the housing, be prepared for some fluid to come out, and the thermostat is right there. Make sure to install a new seal.

If your new thermostat has an air vent make sure the vent is positioned at the top of the thermostat.

That's pretty much it. Top off your fluid as needed.

Good time to check your upper house if it needs replacing as well.

if your upper hose needs replacing, I'd be replacing the lower hose and especially the heater hoses, or at least inspecting them very carefully.
