reset service light

How do I reset the service light on a 95 940?

There should be a rubber plug in the speedo cluster. Remove the plug and push the button with the key on and it will reset.

Oh yeah!!!!!!! i had that same light on and i asked a while ago and tech said something about the code from the computer but i meant to say the "service light" instead of the "check engine"!!! thanks!!

Does it matter whether the ignition is on or off when you hit the button?

On my 92 740, that reset button is mechanical, so no, it doesn't matter if the power is on.

a 2011 940? never seen one. 940's were discontinued in 1995 in the US market, and a couple years later in the global market.
