I recently became the owner of a lovely and well worn 1989 Volvo 240 DL wagon. I noticed the front right headlight is very dim and does not work at all when the high beams are on. I swapped the bulbs and fiddled with the fuses but that didn't resolve the issue. I've tried searching the forum and YouTube but haven't been able to determine what's wrong. Can anyone suggest some next steps to try?
When looking under the hood I did notice some frayed and broken wires near the right signaler but I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with this issue. I've attached a few pics. Thank you!
The front right headlight is dim and does not work at all when the high beams are on. I've noticed frayed and broken wires near the right signaler - could this be related? Close up of broken and frayed wires. Another close up of broken and frayed wires.
