I was curious if the '88 240 uses the same key for the ignition as it does the doors?? the reason I ask is that I tried to use it in the door and i've started to twist my key.. and it's the only key I have for the car.. Maybe my door lock is just in need of some lube?

 

should be the same key, unless someone's changed a lock. Try lubing it first.
