Default Selling my '78 242 Flat Hood

As some of you may know, my wife of 26 years decided she did not require my presence any longer. I barely escaped with my clothes and my Volvo. Sadly though, due to my Bank Account being drained, I need to sell her....She is a 1978 242 with a 4speed Overdrive,(working great), and Sun Roof. She is lowered properly on ipd springs, has Koni adjustable shocks all around, Front and Rear Sway Bars, GT Strut Plates, Stainless Brake Lines, ipd VX Cam. nice CD, ipd Aluminum Belly Pan, H4 Headlamps, behind the Grille lights, and twin Hella Driving Lamps, (not yet wired up), Enkie spoked wheels, new Abarth style Exhaust system, recent Emerald Green paint, (original rust color), new Custom fit front and rear seat covers,($480.00) and this weekend I will have a new Timing Belt and Tensioner installed, and while she's apart a new Water Pump will be installed too. This is a great running and driving 242. Does not use oil or overheat. Just drove it here non stop on a warm day, (400 miles), without a glitch. Clean Oregon Title. No Rust Issues. I will be putting her on Ebay the end of next week with an opening bid of $3950, and no reserve. If you know anyone who is looking please let them know. She still needs a little TLC, but my loss will be someones find. I'm a senior, so she has not been abused, or drifted etc. Thanks for looking, Mike.

Welcome to the club

My divorce was in 2010...I was left with my 87 240 wagon and moved in with my sister....

Once here, I bought a 79 242 DL that has been therapy to me. Yes, I do talk about things out loud that happened to my marriage as I troubleshoot my car.(garage door closed of course) Interesting wheel choice...well best wishes and if you sell it buy another Volvo.

Sorry to see that you have to sell it. I'm torn between copying this to the classifieds to sell the car or to the off topic section for divorce therapy.
