Well, the tailights and such never worked well on the 1990 240 DL sedan my grandson and I are working on fixing up for him. He got the car to fix up and learn on before he gets his license. Anyway like I said, half the rear lights never worked well due to burned out bulbs, cracked/busted lenses, and such, so we bought new taillight assemblies for both sides along with new bulbs. I bench tested the assemblies before we installed them and the work perfectly. On the car is a different story.......with the key on there are no brake lights except for the 3rd brake light in the rear window. No taillights, no reverse lights and when you turn on the flashers the only light that flashes is the third brake light (WTH???). In fact the only light that ever comes on is the lower outboard one on the passenger side, and that is with the taillights on. Fuses are all good so it looks like someone REALLY cobbled up the wiring. Guess I start chasing wires with him next weekend. Anyone have a good wiring diagram for the rear lights on a sedan......my Haynes manual is silent about it.
