showin off my "new" 89 240
What's up everyone! New to the forum although ive been lurking as I was going thru the search and purchase process... anyway this is a 1989 240 with under 80,000 miles. Person who had it before me did the tints and wheels... i added seat covers... changed the head unit... and had 6x9 put into the back bench for added kick... oh and had it checked over thoroughly!
I'm trying to grab some rear headrests/arm rest and then who knows.
Two questions... I guess the head is getting to the interior trim by the windshield upper right hand corner... What would be the best thing to glue that back up... needs to be able to handle a lot of sun
Also what is this lower piece of molding called... under the rocker panel? Is it available anywhere? Haven't been able to find it...

Looks nice! Hard to find 77k cars of that vintage...
That molding is probably just separating; I believe it has metal tabs inside that you may try and squeeze back together to get it to tighten--adhesives won't do it. It is a part available in junk yards for practically nothing. Same for the rocker molding--widely available used...

Junkyard is your best bet for the molding. The clips for this "rocker panel molding" piece have a tendency to break. I know on my '89, I had to replace the clips several times as my kids would step on this when climbing into the car when they were small. The clips are available at FCP (Volvo Rocker Panel Moulding Clip (240 244 245 242 260) Genuine Volvo 1304520 | FCP Euro) but the molding itself would best come from a JY.
