Default Slid into a barrier and broke a wheel :( 93 940

Im wondering what size wheel and tire i will need to replace this. Unfortunately this was one of the alloys and cannot really afford to replace it so i will just have to find a steel wheel. I cannot read the tire size because it is dark and snowy and windy. Im just happy i did not snap an axle.

Any wheel for a 2/7/9 has a 5 x 108mm bolt pattern, with a +20 or +25mm "ET" offset.

these are the standard wheels used on 200/700/900s
Volvo 200/700/900 Alloy Wheels

Aries, in the 15" category, are quite common on early 940's. you might be surprised what you can find if you look around. I sold a spare pair of Aries to a kid via craigslist for $100 ($50 each) and they even had (mostly bald) tires on them that held air.

Aries are 6J x 15.

the tire size on a 15" 940 is 185/65R15, but you can also use 195/60R15

IF you have 16" rims, 205/55R16 is typical.

14" wheels won't fit on most 940s as they won't clear the brakes.

205/60-15 are close to the right diameter too, they fit fine...

me, I'd probably go with the 195/60-15 as 185/65 is now a rare size, with very limited tire choice.
