Default Slow running 940

I just bought a 1994 non-turbo 940 and it starts but taking off up to about 10-15 MPH it just doesn't want to go. Above that speed it runs fine. The previous owner said it had a Regina pump in it and he only replaced the outside pump, not the in-tank. What could it be?

Hi. I moved your post to begin a new thread. Having more than one car's issues in a thread quickly becomes confusing.
There are any number of issues that could be going on with your car; it's recommended that you check the codes stored in your OBD monitor.

Incidentally, Regina injection cars have ONE high pressure pump intank. That's it...under the car there is a fuel filter and nothing else.

It ended up that the P.O. had put in some Direct Hits Ignition System spark plugs. I removed those and the car does run better. It is not as fast as my V40 by any means, but it does run normally.

I got it tagged today and drove it to work. It runs good once you are moving but still shakes hard when sitting at a red light with the air on. Any idea why it is doing that? Also, there is a orange warning light that flashes with a light bulb in it whenever I turn left and signal. Is that a bulb out indicator? Is there somewhere I can download an owners manual?

Yes, that' s the 'bulb failure' light... You need to do a good tuneup on this car, check what else the PO has done to the poor thing that may be causing problems... Amazing what people do to their cars to make them run badly...

I am going to have to do something. I drove it to work this morning and I had to sit in traffic for an hour. It isn't running hot but the fuel gauge goes to E (I know it is full) and the car won't go over 40-50. It is like it is starved for fuel. The bad part is that now the check engine light came on too. Does anyone have a link for how to change out the fuel filter and fuel pump? I think I am going to start there.
