what is the differance in a 240 DL and a GL? i did some searching around but cant find much info[:@]

 

The gl is the more deluxe version. Electrical windows instead of roll ups. Can anyone else help with the other differences, (I have a dl).

 

the car i just bought is a DL and i just couldnt figure out if the GL was better or what the diffrance was i got a bit confused at first[sm=sigh.gif]

not necessarily, my dl has power windows. main difference i think would be the sunroof and nicer interior.

 

its just the trim package. dl is more base model, whereas the gl is a little nicer. power windows, leather, power locks...etc. dls can get those things but they dont come standard.

 

DL stands for DELUX, GL for GRANDLUX. And generally in 240 DLs have more basic equipment levels than GLs. You'll rarely if ever find a GL with manual windows for example.

 

my 93 240 doesnt say anything on it anywhere about it being a 240. Not a GL, DL, nothin'. All it says in the trunk is VOLVO, does that mean i just have the bottom of the barrel version or something? I still have power windows and heated mirrors and all that crazy crap...

 

ok thank you for answering me that now another question, i wana race my 240 but i cant have a turbo and it needs to look stock, what can i do to give me an edge over the others, ill be up against a celica a few nissan 300 sumthing dodge neons and it will be a circle track. i need all the help i can get i dont drive the best[&o]

 

As far as the designations, in later years like 1993 being its last, there was just a 240.
