Default someone rescue our old 240...

1987 240 GL Sedan, white, tan interior. body in pretty darn good shape. gajillion mile vehicle, but well maintained. automatic transmission was overhauled at 300k miles by a volvo specialist, and is still tight. new style windshield last year, that was fully sealed (rust in windshield track was removed, and sealed very carefully). was fully serviced last year. has good tires, good brakes, etcetc.

is sitting in my daughters driveway in Arcata (near Eureka, Humboldt County on the far north coast of California). moisture has been getting into the car somehow, and causing the electrics to get funky, so it stalls. when its dry it was running rock solid, has a new catalytic converter and passes smog with no problems...

interior is funky with mildew/mold now, but I suspect drying it out in a sunny place, and thoroughly shampooing/vacuuming the carpets, seat covers, etc, would make it decent again. original leather seats were totally shot over 10 years ago and IPD's velour custom fit seat covers put on front and rear, carefully installed with plenty of hog rings so they stay put like factory seats. these are well worn but no tears.

sunroof is jammed and RTV'd. pretty much everything else is working, even has a decent stereo in it. oh, no air conditioning, the compressor is non-functional, and the condensor was removed when I swapped the radiator to a quality solid brass made-in-USA radiator. all exterior lights are recent and clear/shiny. a couple of the exterior trim strips are beat up and could be replaced with new molding.

has a trailer hitch, only used for a couple years to tow dingies and a hobie cat. all rear bushings were replaced a few years ago, but the front end is a bit sloppy and could use some bushings, still very drivable. shocks are old and a bit mushy but still dampen..

make any sane offer, but I need to run it by my wife, as its registered in her name. we're the original owners!
