Hi

I want to get a new sound system for my 89 240. Any suggestions please?

Honestly i think any good Sony or Pionear head unit would be good.

 

...Also i know i have a factory amp in my 740, im not sure of your 240 but if you have one i think the wireing could get a little crazy.

 

I had a sony in my 940 wagon and it broke and then tried a clarion.No comparison, the sony was bland the clarion woke everything right up.I was going to change the speakers in the doors but this radio makes them sound very good.All you will need and a sub and you will be very happy.

 

Pioneer HU would be a great start.

Boston Acoustics makes really nice speakers. I had their low end stuff in my 1995 850 NA and loved it.

JL Audio makes nice subwoofers and amps. I also had JL Audio in my 1995 850 NA.

 

What size,location,number of speakers do you have? I used to install high end car systems.
