I am getting to upgrade my system from 500 watts to 1000 watts. This means that I will experience more dimming and i have come down to these options:
A.)better altenator - maybe get a new better one...from where though?
B.)Get a second battery in the trunk
C.)I got a capciter, didnt really help.
D.)Might get a yellow top battery

I don't know how to get rid of the dimming lights with my 500 watt subwoofer, let a lone, that if i get a 1000 watt system its gonna dim like crazy and i have heard the altenators dies due to all this wattage....

Which Alt do you have in the car now? (Amp)
They make a couple of different ones. The S80 Exucitive I beleive is a bigger one.


P.S. must be nice!!! I wish I could afford a bigger Amp. The 325 watt is getting old.

For a alternator, im not sure, i think its 120 amps.... not sure at all..
The S80 executive's altinator, will that handle 1000 watts without any dimming? and how much does it goe for?
O ya another questions, does the 2001 s80 t6 take h7 headlights for both low beams and high beams?

 

If you look close at the back of the Alt. it should tell you the Amps.
The excutive has a TV and navigation I would think it would work but not sure.
I think it is like $350.00.

The high beams and low beams are different bulbs.

 

what I want to do is get a HID conversion kit, and What are the bulb sizes needed for a 2001 volvo s80 t6, is it H7 for low? whats for the high beam?
