I have a 91 Volvo 240. It has just the speedo and clock. I was wondering if any of the 240s came with a tac instead of clock that I just just swap out.

 

they did, the tach goes where the clock is, and they had a small clock that goes in one of the squares just right of the instrument panel. Our 1987 240GL has this setup.

 

So maybe I can find one in a junkyard.

 

pretty sure they are fully interchangable from mid 80s forward. dunno about earlier 240s.

do be sure to get the little clock too, it plugs into the back of the instrument cluster for power, and its a nice quality quartz analog face clock.

OTOH, IMHO, tachs are pretty much useless on automatic transmissions.
