Hey i have a 1983 volvo 240 turbo, the car dosent start very smoothly i have to rev it or it will shut off untill it is semi warm and when i slow down and come to a stop it stalls sometimes, well most of the time unless im lucky.

Any suggestions.... i know i need to replace the intank fuel pump becasue it chugs/stalls when the gas tank is low but i dont think this has anything to do with the fuel pump ...or does it?

this is all with the tank half full...

and it was running great 4 days ago....

 

Clean the throttle body and idle motor and replace the fuel pump as soon as you can.

 

whats that idle motor where is it?

 

It is a cylinder looking thing mounted under the intake.

 

didnt do anything but its good again
