In am thinking about putting new struts and shocks on one of my 1992 245's. I have always used OEM Volvo parts but am thinking about getting a set of the 17" rims from IPD and I'd like to upgrade my suspension. Anyone help me pick a good brand? I do not want to feel every bump in the road yet I want good response and handling...Thanks!!

 

Hmmm...typically I run Bilsteins but I used KYB Gas-A-Just on my 144. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Much less pricey than Bils and a bit less firm. Still, combined w/ IPSsway bars they handle beautifully. They can be had on eBay for cheap.

 

TME springs and billy HDs on the 745. Good DD.

kaphlenke racing on the 244. Not on the car yet.

I have not tried the konis.

I got koni race shocks and race strut inserts for the 244 to go with the coilovers. Not on the car yet, so no comment.
