I have a 1988 Volvo 740 Wagon with a electric sunroof, the sunroof is stuck open. Is there a way to manually close it?

The motor isn't hard to remove.

I'd suggest going to a pick and pull type place or a junk yard and getting another one. Mine's out too but fortunately it's stuck in the closed position ^^

Not sure if a crank would slide up in there or not. Perhaps worth a try, one less electrical part to fail.

 

if it is not the motor...you can check the switches and wires. Mine gets stuck occasionally an I just use contact clearner on the switch and it is fixed.

 

There should be a manual way to shut it. Look in the owner's manual. We have a 940 that was stuck and had to use a screwdriver to manually turn a screw. This screw was hidden by a small plastic cover plate in the center ceiling just back of the windshield.
