Default Tell me about the 200 series

I was thinking of grabbing a 240 as a project car. I don't know much about them and wanted some expert advice. What particular models and years are the better ones? Are there certain engines to look for? I like the late 80's-early 90's 240's so far. Any other useful stuff to know?

IMHO, the newer the better. '89's and older had some wiring harness deterioration problems. A/C is better on '91+ (bigger evaporator, condenser fan, designed for R134A) Later models will have ABS, which may or may not be a plus for you. If I'm not mistaken, the electronic (super accurate) speedo was introduced in '90, but the odometers continued to break, as in all 240's. (But a relatively easy fix, usually)

To my knowledge, none of the 240's were really bad, so your happiness level will probably depend on the condition of the car you select at least as much as the model year..
