Default They don't make'em like they used to

An hour after replacing a white fuel door on my blue 940 with a blue fuel door taken from a tan 740 at the pnp my boy pulls in with my 740 with the fuel door in the trunk. He had broken the door hinge.

Just got a Volvo branded/packaged replacement. It snaps right in AND snaps right back out. Guess this is a job for gorilla glue.

The quality of aftermarket parts especially from URO have gone downhill in recent years, even the people from FCP admit it. I guess it is also happening with Volvo OEM parts as well. I hate the hassle of having to return things but I also hate to have to rig things right out of the box. Just last month I bought an electric cooling fan for my 940 and I had to send it back because it vibrated more than the engine. It could even be felt from the steering wheel.

With Volvo owned by first Ford, and now Gheely of China, yeah, parts quality for older cars is no longer a priority.

with the /newest/ of these Volvos being 20 years old now, I expect it to only get worse.
