Default throttle switch ohms reading interpretation

from my understanding the throttle switch tells the computer when the throttle is at idle and at wot, correct?

I've been having issues with an erratic idle. so I put a multimeter on the throttle switch and there's low continuity at rest and oh 1.2K ohms everywhere above. should there not be any above idle?????

Yeah. It should be read infinity. I don't think that will effect your idle. I would think that it would effect the opposite, the normal running if anything.
