Just a general question. What tools are needed for a valve adjustment and/or inspection? I understand Schley makes specialty tools for VOLVO. What is needed. for my VOLVO? Shims can be purchased from ipdUSA. My car is a 1992 VOLVO DL-240 B-230F engine.

I could go to the Bentley Blue book where hey reference VOLVO tools and p/n's. Is there a source that I can access to find description and costs?

I used the tool below to depress the tappet - it was easier (for me) than the clamping style. You will probably not find many (or any) that need adjustment. So measure before buying a removal tool that won't be needed!
