tranny issues need help

tranny issues need help

i have a 79 242dl and the overdirve is not engaging. The switch works, the light comes on but no engaging. Could it be the relay, the fuse, or could it be, hopefully not the solenoid? Thanks in advance!

Have you checked for power at the soleniod?

im a noob so how would i go about doing that? a test light?

A testlight or a meter.
