Does the transmission drain plug washer have to be replaced every time I change the fluid or can I reuse it.

 

Well, it's good form to swap it but, if it wasn't leaking prior to the service it wouldn't be the end of the world. Thing is, they cost 50 cents...reuse it and it leaks, you end up losing fluid swapping it out after the fact.

 

I will order a few of the drain plug washers to have on hand. I guess it is not worth skimping on such an inexpensive part.
