My transmission works pretty well in my volvo 940 turbo, till today when I stopped in a corner, try to start running again, the car start in top gear and need 2k rpm to move very slow, no problem when you get 40 to 50 km/hr, if I start shifting to 1rst gear there is no problem, you feel inmediatly that the engine is really " linked to he wheels". It happens several times, during 10 km while I continue on at home shifting manually,in the meantime I stopped the engine and start again and the problem continue on and suddenly like it starts the problem dissapears and everything is OK again
If something serious going to happens? I think it is some dirt in the oil. My car has around 200k Km, I have changed the oil 20K km ago. Ihave checked the kick down and it is working also I have checked the oil level.
I would appreciate any help

 

Your transmission is slipping. Since the fluid is new there isn't much else you can do yourself. The problem is internal.

 

But it happens once only for no more that 10 km, today I made around 150 km city traffic and a little highway and there is no problem at all. May be some dirty that can be removed with a flush? I think if it is slipping it would happens all the time, or I am wrong

 

Well, it WAS slipping... so now just wait to see what happens. You can flush it, it can't hurt, and hope for the best...
