Turbo 240
I know this has been asked so many times but I was curious what all I would need to take off a 1983 245 turbo wagon (I believe its a B231) in order to turbo my 1987 245 wagon (B230). I know Need the turbo/exhaust manifold. But will I need fuel injectors? ecu? Any rewiring? piping? oil cooler? Intake manifold? Anything will help.

You can only use turbo and manifold. that turbo system is kjet. Your other car is lh2.2
You will need to grab injectors, and ecus from a turbo car.
Problem is they are from a different car and other changes.

So will i need to rewire my whole engine with the turbo ecu? Also when i took the ecu out of the turbo'd car yesterday there was a smaller electrical box attached to the ecu. Do you know what that could be?

personally, I'd be looking for a wrecked low mileage 1990s vintage 740/940 turbo, and lift the whole engine, wiring harness, ECU, ICU, everything, and fit that into your car. also get the heavier duty AW71 tranny from that car if you have an auto (if you have a M46 4-speed w/ OD, you're golden)
the turbo B230's have lowered compression, and the later years have beefed up main bearings, and the final years (94, 95) the turbo 940's got oil squirters to cool the piston skirts and prevent piston slapping. they have enhanced oil cooling, larger radiators, an intercooler (which might not fit on a 240, I dunno). the turbo cars also have a higher flow fuel pump.

oh, that 83 turbo is probably a B21FT. which, yeah, is CIS-E aka K-Jetronic. *completely* different fuel delivery system. CIS uses a much higher fuel pressure (around 66 psi instead of 42 psi), so a different fuel pump.
will B21 manifolds even fit on a B230 head ?
if you get the part number off that smaller electric box, I can try and figure out what it is from VADIS.

Hey sorry, after reviewing my post i did realize it was in fact a B21ft, I found a website where someone has ran a 700 series ecu into my chrysler ignition system so it will be able to run a turbo.
