Turn signals and Bulb Failure Indicator

Turn signals and Bulb Failure Indicator
I have a 1994 Volvo 940 4dr Sedan that the turn signals and Bulb Failure Indicator are doing strange things. Sometimes when you put the L-H TS on the
BFI will start blinking and sometimes not, depends if you apply brakes at the same time.
Other times when you put the R-H TS on, the dash (RHTS) will blink really fast and the right front T-S works correctly and the R-H back T-S works
really fast. Checked all bulbs and none are defective.
Sometimes will go for a long time and everything works as it should and then the problem starts all over. It seems to me that it is a loose connection but, have checked all connections at the Bulb socket and they seem to be ok. Has anyone else had this problem with the 1994 940?
Have read in another post about cold solder joints on PC Board. Is this the PC Board where all the relays are mounted behind the ash tray?
Any help or suggestions appreciated. If some of this is confusing it really is to me. Sorry for the long post.

the bulb-failure sensor is very sensitive to any differences in current between the left and right circuits. replace both bulbs together, they should be CHROME not brass base. make sure all the contacts are clean on both sides (I use a clean soft pink pencil eraser to clean gold contacts, and a drop of DeoxIT).
turn signals causing bulb out failure indication on the brake lights suggests a sketchy ground. remove teh ground screw, clean the wires and chassis contact surface, reassemble with a drop of deoxit.
fast blink on the turn signals indicates one of the bulbs is out. maybe one is intermittent.
