Default two issues on engine problems

Allright guys,

my 89 745 gl wagon with b230f is having some fuel engine issues which may be related or unrelated.

the first issues is the engine starts like its being flooded a bit so it stutters and burbles, and then after a minute or so, the sensors all kick in and the engine smooths out.

The other issue is that there is a vibration in the engine at 2500 rpm. I can replicate under acceleration and at speed, I can also replicate it at a standstill in neutral, so engine issue.

What are your thoughts on the issue?

My thought is a leaking/bad fuel injector or maybe the cold start injector for the start up issue.

The vibration might be a bad motor/ tranny mount or your transmission change the tranny fluid.check your vbelts ,fuel filter get a Manuel

Default B230f

First; State of tune, clean mass air flow meter and connector. B230F's have a common carbon deposit issues on intake valves,BP has an intake carbon kit to remove it. Check your coolant temp sensor for the FI and not the gauge. On the vibration issue, after the mounts check out try a transmission filter/fluid change. You might have a torque converter stator locking up, transmission service might take care of this. My 87 wagon had similar vibration problems until I replaced the converter.

Your vibration, to me, sounds like a cylinder is skipping.

Guys I fixed this cold start problem by replacing the fuerl injectors with cleaned remanufactured injectors. There is still the smallest noticeable rumble in the engine which quickly goes away, but I'm being picky.

Default Throwing an OBD code while idling

Guys, I'm ready to try and replace the O2 sensor, But wanted some opinions first before I crawl under there. My car idles fine, but it will throw a 212 code "Signal missing/faulty from oxygen sensor" when it does a long idle like when I'm loading up the car with the engine running. Any ideas as to why?
