Default Two more issues!!!

Hi, well i'm just about there, the v70 is going in for the cam seals(replace all seals) and the timming belt. I feel like i've just about fixed all the problem's associated with this car.
I have two questions.

1. While driving there is a little thumping noise in the front passenger side, gets louder & more pronounced when driving in the wet, any ideas ?

2. Upon start up there is a RA RA RA RA like drone(thats the best i can describe it) gets quicker with acceleration, any thing to do with the timing belt?? FU*K i hope not its going in next tuesday?

1. might be a bad strut cap/spring seat.

2. Sounds liek lifters tapping. Migth be bad oil pan o-rings or a lifter usually the o-rings.

Oil light came on, "No oil pressure stop engine asap", message and light flickering on and off.
combined with the ra ra ra sound, sounds like tech is correct , oil pan o-rings.
what can i do, i need to drive it about 50km or 30mile to the dealer, (highway driving) any ideas.
other than a tow. (took of oil cap, oil seems to be getting through). how sensitive are the sensors..??

The only things I can think of is to make sure the oil is topped off to full. Maybe try changing out the oil and put in a lighter weight that might have a better chance of making use of whatever limited oil pressure you do have. Other than that, I wouldn't risk a $4000 motor rebuild to save a $100 towing bill.

Too right you are rp850 not worth the risk, organised a tow for free through my roadside assistance, just sick and tired of spending money on this car..

My wife and i have decided that after the cam seals, timing belt, oil pan o-rings(if that is the problem) are replaced, we will give the car one more chance, anymore problems and we will trade it on a toyota klugger..

Its a shame, i think half the problem with these cars is they run bloody hot, heat warps everything, sounds stupid but all the seals are failing at 90,000km.
I had a subaru forester for 5 years did over 100,000km never a problem..
I also have a nissan pulsar 165,000km, first problem just occured cv boots, big deal $200.00 fix
I think that the japs make the best cars in the world..
no offence to the volvo die hards.
