Default Urgent Tech Help!! light Troubles

i have a 1989 volvo 240 gl when i turn the lights on they come on. when i hit the brakes only the third light comes on when the running lights are on. if they are off all three come on like there supposed to. if i put it in reverse no back up lights. when i turn lights on it shows a bulb blown but all bulbs and fuses are fine. please help me figure this out.

Thanks

Sounds like Ground wire isn't grounding or a socket is bad.

I'd recommend pulling the taillight assemblies (held in by a couple of nuts). Check the grounds on both sides, all the connectors to the bulbs, and the bulb housings and sockets. Get some de-ox gel and put some on every connection, including the grounds. Wouldn't hurt to replace the bulbs also. I go thought this ritual every year to prevent problems.

Also forgot to mention in my original post to make sure the R/S tail light has a white socket for the brake/parking light bulb position.
