93 850 Starting troubles NEED HELP
OK well heres the intro, i got a new 99 tahoe and decided to sell my volvo, It has had a couple rough starts in the winter already, but every time it did start up no matter what. I left it outside in the cold for a day and a half and went to start it up and got nothing, no fuel was getting to the engine it seemed. I pushed it in my garage and began with the hair dryer blowing the lines and injectors filter ect. and got nothing of it. I let it sit for about a day or two where it warmed up to 32ish and tried it again and finally it started!, i took it out and parked it on the road and let it idle for an hour and then took it out for a spin and it ran like a dream. I pull back into my driveway, shut it off and try starting it. and again no start. the engine turned over like crazy but no fuel. To prove the no fuel idea we took some gas and sprayed it into the intake and the car ran fine off that. again i let it sit in my garage over night and this morning i started it rite up no problems. let it idle for 30 min. shut it off and started it again just fine. shut it off and did it again and got nothing.....any ideas? i was thinking mbe a loose connection somewhere along the lines because of how random it is. but i have no idea where to go or look to check this out. Also if it helps during the summer and only the summer (hot conditions) my volvo would stall while driving randomly. I could fight the stall to and even got out of it once by pumping the gas. it slowly would rev down until the car stalled. Thanks for any help you can give me. I got to get this thing sold! any questions just ask. Also the starter does not seem to engage properly, i dno if the 850 has a safety feature where the starter wont engage under certain conditions but it will grab for half a second or sometimes 3 seconds but after that the starter will disengage and all you can here is the spinning of it. thanks again
