Default Use of gasket sealer ????

Today I removed my throttle body, intake manifold, and oil trap. The throttle body was filthy full of oily crud. I'm surprised that my volvo ran so well. The oil trap was actually clean. I had expected it to be full of sludge. The oil trap o-ring was flattened, hard and brittle. So I replaced the o-ring. The intake runners and the back of the intake valves are pretty dirty. I'll clean those as best asI can. The throttle body and intake gaskets were the stamped steel type with no gasket sealer. My replacement gaskets are the paper type (from FCP Groton). Should I use gasket sealer with these paper gaskets? Every intake gasket thatI have replaced in other cars (American Muscle cars) I have always used gasket sealer. For carbs I have always used a dry gasket. But the throttle body has a much higher vacum so should I use a sealer for this gasket also ?? Also I going to replace the flame trap and it's hoses. Any tips while the throttle body and intake is off ???

Thanks

Well to be honest I don't know. But I assumed there would be more vacum than my 440 with a holley double pumper. With the Volvo being a such a fancy high tech fuel injected engine. LOL My mechanical experience is in paint, body and old muscle cars. But after using the search function I have figured out thatI should install the intake gaskets dry.

Thanks
