V8 swap or +T

V8 swap or +T
I told myself when my 240 would start giving me issues that I can't resolve easilyI would do something different. I purchased a new DD andI have a choice between turning it into a 230F+Tor installing a340 V8. It was my brother's motor out of a plymouth my father and I first put together. Now it does not have a home. I'm selling my project car and need a new one. So the Volvo is now it.
Let me know what you guys think.
I have all the electronicsnessaryout of a 1991 Volvo740 Turboand a Spare new garrett T3/T4 46trimturbo laying around. I need exhaust manafold, down pipe, intercooler hoses. I already own a volvo intercooler. The car now has a AW71 installed from that 1991 Volvo 740. I may need a higher flowing fuel pump?
I'll call it Vopar BTW if I proceed with the V8 Swap.
I need to modify a drive shaft and add an exhaust to it. I may need a carb if he doesn't have the Holly on it anymore. Also I need to make or modify motor mounts to make it fit and hopefully minimal pounding on the firewall. Also to make brackets for the power steering pump and etc.

RE: V8 swap or +T
I can see both sides being ok. The funny thing is theTurbobrick guys say to do the V8 swap. I don't think anyone has put a 340 in a Volvo 240. If they did then I never heard of it. The + T route would be the easiest especially if I buy parts off a guywho calls himself theMailmain who is removing his +T set up and installing a V8TT in his 1989 volvo 240. He believes his car is about a mid low 13 second car as it sits(if the tranny wasn't damaged). He had his buddy raced him in his low 13 second camaro and the Volvo pulled ahead, lol. Sincehe trashed another auto tranny he wants a more reliable way to make his Volvo quicker so the parts are already made for the car.MPG is not going to be a huge issue with mesince it is a project car. I have two other cars that get decent MPG.
BTW he was running 18psi and 75 shot of NO2 in his 2.3N/A. I just can't believe it took the abuse.
I could do +T and if something fails then I can go ahead and proceed with the V8 swap.
