Default valve noise ? 2forty 1992 wagon

I just bought a 1992 2forty wagon with manual tr. It has 127000 miles on it. The valves make some chatter. The car drives great with no smoke and has lots of power. Should I be concerned ? Are there any easy remedies ? thx

Default follow up

I noticed when the hood is up a little intermittent shake in the engine at idle off a hair ? should I pull the valve cover off and clean and lubricate ? If I do this will I have to buy any new parts ? seal ? thx

The motor mounts are really soft, you can actually grab the engine and rock it side to side.If it's excessive you could possibly have a broken mount.
The valve chatter(pecking)you hear could be valve clearance, but it's more than likely the hushers. The hushers snap into the valve keeper. The rubber looses its elasticity over time and heat, and you get noticeable valve noise. If it gets louder have the valve clearance checked and hushers replaced.

IPD rents out a shim kit for the valve adjustment. really easy to do.
