Hi
I hope there is someone that is knowledgeable about what is going on with my 1987 240 wagon. Lately, its been dieing while i am driving. usually it dies when i am turning or approaching to stop. I dont have a clue as to why. Also, I recently had my muffler welded near the catalytic converter area, but now i noticed there is a strong smell of gas fume in my car. I ask a muffler shop where they told me its due to the tail rear muffler coming undone. does that make a leak of fume inside my car? just wondering if i am being told something else so they can make a few bucks on me.

anyway, please help.... i just love these cars, but am having issues with stalling while driving and strong smell of gas inside
